Our weatherization program is currently inactive.  We are working to bring these services back to Del Norte County.  Please watch this space for updates.

APPLY FOR UTILITY ASSISTANCE SERVICES

The Del Norte Senior Center provides LIHEAP energy and LIHWAP water/wastewater assistance services in Del Norte County. 

Please download an application package using the link below.  This is a PDF fillable form that may be completed on your computer, then printed, signed and submitted.

The application packet must be completed in full and submitted to the Del Norte Senior Center along with copies of all utility bills, proof of income and identification for all household members.  Completed applications and documentation may be mailed to or dropped off at the Senior Center, 1765 Northcrest Drive, Crescent City, CA 95531.  Drop-Off hours are weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  If you need assistance completing the application or have additional questions about the program, you may call (707) 464-3069 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

ELECTRICITY AND HOME HEATING:

​LIHEAP is a federal program that provides assistance to eligible low-income households to manage and meet their immediate home heating and/or cooling needs.  For more information about this program, including income guidelines, please visit the California Department of Community Services and Development website. 

ATTENTION SOCIAL SECURITY RECIPIENTS

Save your award letters from Social Security if you plan on applying for assistance at any time during the year!  Don't have a letter?  Get your benefits confirmation online at my Social Security
